About us

Te Kuiti Meats New Zealand is a leading processor and exporter of value-added, high-quality ovine products. Our people are passionate and committed to producing the best lamb in the world and providing the ultimate dining experience.

About the role

This exciting opportunity has arisen due to an internal transfer.

As the Regional Livestock Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality livestock to meet our production demands. You will be responsible for developing new relationships with suppliers while effectively managing existing partnerships to optimise efficiency and maintain our commitment to quality standards.

Although our Te Kuiti processing plant will be your base, the nature of the role is autonomous, so time management, planning, administrative experience, and organisational skills are essential.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge under the guidance of our experienced Group Procurement Manager. This role is crucial to our long-term succession plan and is essential for our organisation’s continued success.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Working with management to ensure marketing requirements are met.
  • Management of our supply programmes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Group Procurement Manager to develop our procurement programme.
  • Identify key opportunities to develop our business.
  • Promote the Te Kuiti Meat brand through promotional and regional activities.
  • Regularly liaise with transport operators to maximise transport efficiencies and minimise operational issues.
  •  Effective communication with the Plant, suppliers, and marketing teams.

We will be shortlisting and interviewing applications as they are received, so if you are interested in this role, please do not wait to apply!  We look forward to hearing from you.
